A great intro to a great light novel series! This book really touched me. The theme is very dark, but there are some positive messages that mean a lot to me. The main character suffers from PTSD, and it was very accurately portrayed. I have PTSD, so it felt really good to be able to relate to Konoha so well. I have to wonder if the author has dealt with PTSD to know it this well.
Also, this book and all the books in its series are based on/mention famous works of literature, many from Japan, but others worldwide. I got interested and bought my own copies of books such as No Longer Human and Night on the Galactic Railroad thanks to the influence I got from this series.
Tohko is a book girl, meaning she eats stories and the taste is based on their quality and genre. The way she describes different famous works is beautiful, and it makes them sound so amazing. It'll make you want to check out tons of books from the library.
Since this book is so dark, I recommend it to older teens and adults. Despite the pictures, this is definitely not something you want to hand to a child or a young teen.A great intro to a great light novel series! This book really touched me. This is the best book in the series yet! I loved the first two books, but they were always a bit slow at one point or another... This one is very exciting, with lots of drama! It's pretty intense!

Amazing like the first! My only question is why Grover needs fake legs if humans will see the mist anyway... Minor detail. Very great book!!

It was a bit slow starting off but it got very exciting around the middle of the book! It turned out just as great as the first one!

I would recommend this book only for beginner students of Japanese, at an N5 or N4 level in JLPT. I am currently studying for N3 and there is not much new information for me in this book, unfortunately.
