Excellent film. Witty, funny, cinematographically gorgeous, like a work of art. Wes Anderson has a particular style of filmmaking that appeals to certain actors and viewers. If you don't get it, it's okay. There's plenty others who do.

Here we are in Andersonville, where people grow old, but their minds never grow past the age of 10 (or 8?) This one plays on a variation on the cutesy-poo paintings of Charles Wysocki.
Benjamin Britten must be turning in his grave if he…

First time I saw this movie I was just bemused. I've now seen it probably a dozen times and I love it. Quirky, suspenseful, confusing, riveting, amazing music and outstanding performances from a really unexpected cast.

Disappointed! Very quirky film. Just dumb as far as I can determine. Not funny. Not dramatic. Not serious. Not Good!! Not sure what the point was, or why this movie was made. I cannot recommend.

Goodness me, Wes Anderson knows his way around a silly tale. He’s a champion of the Serious And Precocious Child In All Of Us. I certainly cannot get enough of his films, which pack more surprises than box of Cracker Jacks™.

The other great movie by Wes Anderson and my favorite as well. If you are a fan of symmetry, the picture will sweep you away. Just enjoy the retro style of the image and the familiar candy-colored. Also, be prepared to be excited about the…

A tounge in cheek, comic book style love story
Other themes explored: adultry, marriage, stereotypes, bullies, community, violence, nature, foster care system, parental examples (illness like rage and depression) which get…
When I daydream, my mind surely goes to a place just like this. Wes Anderson presents a wonderfully fantastical and extraordinary story in which love prevails for two 12-year old outcasts. Using tones similar to a faded Polaroid, the…

Wes Anderson has lately, quickly, become my favourite director, but to be honest this movie wasn’t his best work. Don’t get me wrong -- I still really like it, but parts of it felt very odd and a little off-kilter. The chosen font, for…

Wes Anderson at his idiosyncratic best. Attractively eccentric, an easy comic rhythm, beautifully acted and beautifully captured. The film gives you the feeling as if we are viewing the events through Suzy's binoculars or reading the story…

WOW! This film was delightful in its quirkiness and total originality. It is like an adult "kid movie" in that it was actually FUN to view. Should bring a smile to all ages.

An interesting, quirky film. An engaging, and completely unpredictable story. Wes Anderson's best, so far, I think. Good performances all around, and the camera work is a joy in itself.
