Good movie for the kids or for a rainy day.

It has elements of Stargate. Story line could have been better.

We rented it just to see if it was as bad as everyone said it was. It was.

If you are a fan of the 50's scifi films you will enjoy this. It's just like one of those but with a better special effects budget. Based on novel written about 100 years by the man who gave us Tarzan.

Have low expectations and be pleasantly surprised, I was.

This film cost Disney $200M+ but bombed at the box office, and got bad reviews from film critics. However, if you like fantasy or sci-fi films, you will enjoy this one. The Martian setting was gorgeous to look at, as was the costume. CGI was great. While it is not everyone's cup of tea, if you can put aside your need for intellectual pursue and just want to dive into another world, see it!

This was a terrible movie. It's not surprising that it did poorly at the box office. It seems like a failed attempt to imitiate Star Wars, by establishing new kingdoms and species on Mars. The protagonist was not very likable and the overall story did not capture my imagination. It was not pleasant to look at, aesthetically, either. I am not surprised that children were not interested in this film.

I knew this movie had an awful reputation, now I know why. More entertaining would have been a video of my facial expressions as I thought "what's this? ugh! wait, he's WHAT? is this a comedy now? aw, that's cute. man, this is stupid. WHAT?!!! NOW they introduce that? Hmm, where I have seen all these Romans before, that's gonna bug me. oh, shut up. Ick. oh, this is just stupid. no way, they didn't. Hunh? Is this still the same movie?"

Pretty true to the book it was based on, A Princess of Mars, written 100 years ago. Fun film!

A Movie ahead of its time. Truly. Teens and action lovers will enjoy it. It's not intellectual but captures the imagination. Nicely done. No big name actors, the movie has to stand on it's own.
