The hysterically funny, best-selling book comes to life in this smash-hit family comedy! Greg Heffley is headed for big things, but first he has to survive the scariest, most humiliating experience of any kid's life, middle school! That won't be easy, considering he's surrounded by hairy-freckled morons, wedgie-loving bullies and a moldy slice of cheese with nuclear cooties!

I believe this was a great movie, very much in-line with the book, and also very well expressed the average life of a middle-school child.

I'd say that the name of Rodrick's punk band "Loaded Diaper" (spelled "Loded Diper") was a perfect metaphor for summing up this dreary, over-rated film in a nutshell - "Cause, to me, all this film amounted to was just being a "loaded diaper"._____ This movie repeatedly drove home the message that middle-school students have nothing but hatred and resentment for one another. And when it comes to vicious bullying, girls are just as horrible and nasty as boys. (In fact, they are sometimes even worse bullies)_____ One of the most alarming statements made in this film was about how widespread cruelty and hatred was even amongst the younger children of today._____ In this film I was told that if you're a parent it's OK to humiliate your kids in front of their friends, as Mrs. Heffley did with Rodrick when confronting him about his "girlie" magazines._____ I found the whole business of the mouldy cheese sitting out on the basketball court to be humorous once, but after that it was a bore._____ I thought that this film would've been far more entertaining if it had been turned into an animated production, using the goofy, stick-figure people as its characters.

Greg's misadventures

So basically it's Gregs first day of middle school. In the beggining of the movie comes the part when Rodrick wakes up Greg at 2:00 A.M. and you could see Greg in a hurry to get his teeth brushed and get changed. Then his dad comes down with his mother not looking very happy. So Greg tells them that Rodrick woke him up. When Greg and his parents come downstairs, Rodrick looks like he was just sleeping the whole time. Anyways, If you want to know about the movie, Read the movie diary.

Mom: "are you sure you don't want me to walk you in?''
greg: " Yes mom i'm fine-"

Mom: " Are you sure?-"
Greg:"Yes mom just go."

(later after greg exits the car a begins making his way up the school steps)

(gregs mom honks the car horn)

Mom: "have a good day sweetie!"
(everyone laughs)
