A fun, light-hearted book to read! The witty banter and the many moments poking fun at the cookie-cutter rom-com book storyline keeps the pages turning. Ironically though the story itself is quite predictable, but it is still enjoyable to read.

Very unique and interesting story that kept me turning the pages! The detailed descriptions of the scenery and food made me feel like I was right there with the characters. I also loved seeing the emails between the author and the real owners of Hotel Poseidon as an added bonus at the end. A great summer read that made me want to travel to Positano and experience it all myself!Very unique and interesting story that kept me turning the pages! What a great summer read! I enjoyed reading this story as it transported me to the lazy days of summer as a teenager. I could feel like I was actually there at Barry's Bay with the characters. The beautiful young-love romance of the characters especially tugged at my heartstrings. All in all a great book to read during the hot days of summer by the lake. What a great summer read! Loved it! This is the second Matt Haig book I've read, and I must say he's becoming one of my favourite authors. This was a page turner! I really felt like I was going through time with the characters, and Haig's writing style really brought all the characters to life. I heard Benedict Cumberbatch got the rights to make this book into a movie, and I absolutely can't wait to see how it translates on screen. A fantastic read!Loved it! I usually do not like to read stories set during war time, but I wanted to give this novel a chance after hearing so many great things. It did not disappoint! Reading this story, I felt like I was there in the library with Odile every step of the way. The perspective of WWII Paris from that of library staff was new to me, and to know that some of the characters were even based on true stories and people just made it even more fascinating. I couldn't stop reading, and loved the back and forth in timeline with Lily as well. Overall, one of the best books I've read this year!I usually do not like to read stories set during war time, but I wanted to give this novel a chance after hearing so many great things. Disappointing! I did not enjoy this story as much other Sophie Kinsella books. I actually found myself frustrated by the main character as her lack of self confidence and desperate attitude towards her love life was often cringe-inducing. I would recommend people to read another Sophie Kinsella book instead of this one.Disappointing! I did not enjoy this story as much other Sophie Kinsella books. If you enjoyed "Untamed" by Glennon Doyle, then you will love this book. It dives deeper into the history behind the societal expectations about women and all that shapes womens' lives today. The book is not all doom and gloom though. Lesser provides a practical guide that will help women think about their own lives and stories, and how we can move forward to bring a balanced approach to the world, where women's voices and lives are just as equal as men's. It's like "Untamed" is the appetizer and this is the main course! Highly recommend for everyone to read, not just women. If you enjoyed "Untamed" by Glennon Doyle, then you will love this book. What a beautiful story about life! I thoroughly enjoyed following Nora along on her journey through the books of the midnight library. A genius concept about how we can live our lives and focus on what's important. It even got me thinking of what other books might be on my midnight library shelf! I really, really, really did want to like this book! Believe me, I tried! It is quite heavy with facts about Ancient Egypt, so prepare for some full-on schooling on the topic. At times, I thought I was reading a textbook! But I pushed through, hoping that once we are past the facts we can really get to the story. Her detailed descriptions did help paint beautiful, vivid pictures of the scenes and characters, and by the end I really was excited to see how all this would wrap up. Instead, I was left completely underwhelmed. It was as if the author suddenly realized she had to submit this, and all attention to detail went flying out the window. In some ways, I feel like I wasted my time. If you want to learn a lot about Ancient Egypt, go ahead! Otherwise, I advise to entertain yourself with another book.I really, really, really did want to like this book! Believe me, I tried!
