About three things I was absolutely positive:
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him–and I didn't know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

"I'D NEVER GIVEN MUCH THOUGHT TO HOW I WOULD DIE– I'd had reason enough in the last few months –but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this. . . . Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of something else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something."
When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret.
What Bella doesn't realize is the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risk. And, it might be too late to turn back. . . .
Deeply seductive and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight will have readers riveted right until the very last page is turned.

I think that this book is a little bit underrated. The storyline is kind of cheesy, and some of the characters can be annoying, but the writing is not as bad as everyone makes it sound, and the plot is still interesting. While this book is by no means the best I’ve ever read, I found it entertaining and enjoyable to read. The plot is unique, and I like stories with supernatural characters like vampires and werewolves. It got slow moving in certain parts, but overall this book is entertaining to read and I think more people should give it a chance. 7/10 stars

Girl moves to Washington state to live with her dad. Girl sees boy. Girls desires to be close to boy. Girl learns that boy is seemingly untouchable. Boy notices girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Girl falls in love with boy. Girl becomes suspicious that something is different about this boy. Girl learns that boy is a vampire. Girl begins to discover all kinds of weird, mythical things around her that turn out to be real.

Ok. Although that description is very blah, it just about covers it, right?! I don't make it sound very appealing, but I actually found it to be very addictive. Was it because of the amazing writing? Definitely not. I wouldn't consider Stephenie Meyer to be a good "writer" per say as she can't seem to get away from the use of the same words (muttered, murmured, etc), but she does put together a good story. I mean, what girl doesn't fantasize about an amazingly good-looking guy that only has eyes for her? And beyond that, he's not he only one that wants her....& bad! And the 2nd guy that has fallen for her is equally as attractive. SCORE! Throw in the fact that the reader is whisked away to a fantasy word of dangerous, yet sensual creatures, & you have the makings of an un-put-down-able book!

Age recommendation: 14 & up

On a scale of 1-10 stars, I give it 8.

Not sure if it was the book or if it was the narrator but it was a little slow at first. I would say that by the time I got to about have way through the CD's I was thoroughly hooked. Compared to the movie the book, was much better.
