Nicholson does a great job. A lot of gratuitous graphic sex which might make or break the movie for you, depending on which fragment of humanity you fall into. My thought is that it's a worthy movie and fast forwarding through a lot of boring sex doesn't offend me, though I pity the actors.

A father contemplates killing the drunk driver that killed his young daughter. The driver is in such bad shape after being released from prison that he might not even mind being killed that much. Nice acting by Jack Nicholson and David Morse. Angelica Huston was nominated for a Golden Globe, but I was transfixed by Nicholson and Morse so much that I'm not certain that Huston deserved a nomination. Too much sex in this film for prudish viewers.

The movie had a very "artsy" look to it, which I normally don't care for, but in this case it worked really well. I would recommend this film. If you're a prude and don't want to see nudity or hear profanity it may not be for you, but hey, it's Jack Nicholson, what would you expect?

Film centered around a griefing father whose young daughter was killed by a remorseful hit and run dirver.
