Hugo's colleague and old friend, now in London, asks Hugo to keep an eye on his teen daughter Amy, spreading her wings in Paris where she hopes for a modeling career. Hugo and Amy make plans for a breakfast date, but the usually reliable girl never shows. Hugo is trailed, all the way to Barcelona, by a good looking but suspicious man. Turns out this man is part of a small tourist guide group, & his specialty is sex tours. Don't want to give away too many spoilers, but once the action gets going, it doesn't stop. The action here is wild, but Hugo, with or without the help of Tom, manage to the increasing number of dead bodies and rescue Amy. Hugo, who's in love with Paris, finds time to fall for Barcelona, a very different city but one with its own charm. Highly recommended addition to the series.

Not as good as his other books. It is a little slow and plodding; did not keep my interest as well as his other books. Garcia's brother, a police officer in Barcelona, does not have the same character development or interest that Garcia did. The same can be said for the missing girl's father, Denum, who is an old FBI friend of Hugo and Tom. Claudia shows up to help out but even her character is a little flat. Then there is a tough female cop working with Garcia who seems to parallel the transgendered cop in Paris. All in all, this is a rather disjointed book. Character development is poor. So disappointing as his other books were so good.

Better go back to Paris.
