This movie was great, it paid homage to the past and had a new vision of the future. Arnie was great as pop's.

The first thirty minutes of this shows how Kyle got to 1984, good, then, it flattens out as two old-school terminators are knocked out in minutes, not like the hours it took to get the originals. Some weird convoluted story line that rambles.

Directed by Alan Taylor in 2015 as the 5th installment in the series, this American action-packed SF drama depicts a complicated time travel story.
Superb are the film's visual effects with its prosthetic make-up and animatronics created by Legacy Effects.
The story seems somewhat ill-contrived and complicated for an ordinary person with an ordinary IQ to understand.
In any case, I enjoyed this action-packed entertaining piece.
However, this DVD has a number of annoying scratches.

It was fun. I gave up trying qualify the timeline thing as quantum physics is not my active paradigmatic scope in viewing this lifetime (what?) and am pretty sure the movie was made to be enjoyed as a movie, not a history lesson. On the other hand, I also enjoyed trying to follow the correction by "Reading_Right" - emphasis on "try," that is. Besides, if there are parallel realities (and why not? Would God/dess not think we couldn't learn from all the experience? ), then that throws yet a few more options for workarounds, right? Ah, now see how that requirement for "nothing that isn't proven as absolutely unreal" goes? Don't get me wrong, I think RR's comment is an absolutely essential part of the gestalt of these reviews - I appreciate the groundedness in the current scientific reality - it's where I have to live - when not watching a movie. All I'm saying is, imagination is a good thing - I mean, so long as one isn't addicted to dysfunctional modes of interacting with self, others, and so forth, yes? (phew! ;-)

[Detective O'Brien is interrogating Sarah and wants to help]

Sarah Connor: We're here to stop the end of the world.

Detective O'Brien: I can work with that.

Sarah: Pops! I thought you were dead.
T1: No. Just upgraded.

T1: I'll be back.

T1: It is possible if he were exposed to a nexus point in the time flow when you were in the quantum field. ... A nexus point is an event in time of such importance that it gives rise to a vastly different future.
===
T1: I'm old, not obsolete.
===
Sarah: Bite me.
T1: That is a very immature response
