Historic Fiction is hard to beat. This book did a good job of educating as well as entertaining. It’s easy to believe that “fake news” is a very modern invention. Even in 1868, they were more interested in being the first to report something rather than making sure what they reported was accurate.

This was one of my favorite series as a kid (11-14). What a fun way to learn about what life was like back then from a perspective of a child.
