Alton Brown is the host of the Food Network show GOOD EATS, and a mighty fine author of cookbooks as well. I''M JUST HERE FOR THE FOOD won the 2003 James Beard Foundation Book Award (Cooking Reference), and is a stylish, entertaining and approachable look at the science behind cooking and cooking techniques. The recipe for meatloaf is a winner, and Brown''s technique for baking potatoes is second-to-none.
