I love the vocabulary unique to this story. I tore through this book as quickly as I could; it was mysterious and thrilling, and I dove right into the sequel.
Side note: the first movie is a pretty good representation of the book. Worth watching. *The sequel is not.*

This was a book which was very descriptive and had lots of adventure in it. There was almost action in every part of the book and it was well written. The way the group of teenagers tried to solve the way to get out of the maze was incredible. Personally my favourite character is Newt because he seems like a nice guy and acts as a good leader as well. There are more challenges to overcome, but I don’t think that will be a problem for Thomas and his friends to overcome. The grievers were pretty scary based off of their descriptions in the book. It was very surprising how Thomas got one to die. Because of that, I think that is how he earned his respect among the others.

Love, love, love this whole series! The kill order excluded though. James Dashner has some real writing skills! The fever code was amzing as well! Read the whole series. But theres no way you can read it and not just love newt! Belive me! Anyone whos read the series know what i mean! Anyway, this whole series is a must read! Full five stars for sure!

This book was fantastic! Totally recommend to any teen or adult looking for a scare combined with action and an unusual setting and plot. Three words define my opinion of the Maze Runner: FIVE FULL STARS!

I loved "The Maze Runner" and recommend it to everyone that likes adventurous and sad books. I thought that this book was amazing and i think you will like it too.

I was recommended The Maze Runner as a preference since I enjoyed the Hunger Games Series but I simply could not finish it. This book was boring and did not capture my interest what-so-ever. The author seemed more interested in detailing everything Thomas saw, smelled or did instead of moving the plot along. The only character I liked was Chuck...and he (SPOILER) dies!

After reading The Maze Runner, I was not quite impressed. It took me awhile to read this book, and I struggled while reading it because I thought it was pretty boring. I felt as if it got tiresome to read at times, because some situations in the book were being repeated. At most times, moments were filled with sadness as well as adventurous experiences. For example, when the main character, Thomas' best friend died, it made me emotional. Parts in the book like this made The Maze Runner more enjoyable to read. I think the ending was the best part. Discovering that there was a sickness that caused a decrease of population in the world was an unexpected closing. The fact that the children in the end finally got to understand why they were there made me happy, because I thought the author was going to drag it out. Since this book was not that great in my opinion, I'd give it a 3/5. If you enjoy scary and complicated books, I would recommend. A lot of people thought this book was amazing, so maybe it was just me!

The Maze Runner is the perfect example of what today's young people love to read; sci-fi young adult adventure with a bit of romance and horror. The trilogy overall is fantastic and the way the author sets up the spacing of the books is amazing. Dashner has managed to create not only a unique virus, but also unique monsters in today's age of monsters being common. Since this book can also be considered a psychological thriller, it's also a great read for adult fans of sci-fi and dystopia!

The Maze Runner is a good book. In the beginning you don't really understand what going on, it was a little confusing at first, but you get used to it after awhile. This is my second time reading it, and it seems to make more sense after reading it again. The movie is also a little different than the book, if you have watched it. But I would definitely reccomend reading this.

This one just didn't do it for me until about the last 60 pages. It was a long haul to get through the rest of it.

The big ******* ***** James Dashner KILLED off Chuck>:O He was the one that let me see the most humanity in the people of the glade. He was like a brother. Kind of ironic how he joined Thomas to live then gave his life for him, (he wasn't worth saving.)

It is set in the future where mankind needs saving from a horrible disaster that has turned humans into monsters. Now scientists use children to figure out how to save the human race. Great book!
