This three part tale of a haunted house starts with young Toby in the eighteenth century crossing the path of the Frenchman''s ghost and sealing his doomed fate. Then over a hundred years latter Henry James moves in and finds Toby''s diary of the shocking events of his life. When he tries to set them down on paper, he loses his gift momentarily, and the diary goes missing. After James'' death, his protege moves in only to discover that the ghosts have never left this house. Her search for the answers lead to a very satisfying and hair-raising conclusion.
