The stories in this book come from behind the walls and barbed wire of Europe's ghettos during the Nazi regime. We hear the voices of young boys and girls as they live with the fear that they might be deported to the death camps at any moment. Theirs are stories of courage and determination, of struggle and resistance. They speak for those who, like them, managed to survive the war. And they speak for those who did not.

I really liked the book "Whispers From the Ghetto" by Kathy Kacer and Sharon Mckay. "Whispers From the Ghetto" is a book about Jews and there story in the war. It also takes more then 10 storys of differnt Jews. This novel was based on true stories and takes place all over Europe including Germany, Poland, Czech republic, Lituania and China. I can easily identify because I am also from eroupe and I also hade a bad past whith a hard life. my favourite part is in the first chapter about the kid in the ghetto who loves music. I would say that "Whispers From the Ghetto" is like the game Medal of Honour European Assault because you also have to go into the ghettos and you have to fight off the Nazis and free the Jews. If I had to rate this book I would rate it a ten out of ten because I had never loved a book like this before. I would recommend this book for ages 6 and over I also guarantee that you would love this book like I did!

An excellent account of life in a WWII ghetto. The stories were very entertaining and gripping. This may be the best Non-Fiction book I have read in Red Maple this year.

I loved this book. The indepth stories about what happened to the Jewish people imprisoned in ghettos was very sad, but helped me to understand the horrors of the war.
