The bullet that killed his daughter was meant for Boston cop Thomas Craven. That's what police brass and Craven himself think, but that's not what the investigation finds. Clue after clue and witness after witness, the search leads him into a shadowy realm where money and political intrigue intersect. If Craven wasn't a target before, he, and anyone linked to his inquiry, now is.

Hmmm, hmmmm, ho hmmmm, someone might have told them this was a thriller not a ponderous, self-indulgent exercise in "art". I found it impossible to get through.

What the...?!! Excuse me, but Mel Gibson had nothing to do with this 2009 British show.
He starred in a 2010 movie of the same name. What kind of mix-up is this?

It is shameful that the value human life is degraded for the sake of corporate gain. There circumstances are familiar to the corrupt policies that are prevalent today. IT involves the whole nation and affects the safety in a global scale. Private companies are exploiting research and development funding from the government for commercial gain. In my book, that is fraud! The public is be billed for projects that do not benefit anyone but the Companies and corrupt officials receiving the payoffs. The public is coerced into forced compliance by fraudulent claims that cooperation is of importance to 'National Defense', but the technology is being sold on the global market to the highest bidder. This story rings true!

I could not possibly contribute in any way that may benefit Mr. Gibson and his and squalid bigotry. A very sick man.

An impressive remake of the excellent BBC production. Mel Gibson gave an excellent performance and was aided by a fine supporting cast. It is a pity that the bad press over Gibson's private life hurt the film when it was released.

Another outstanding BBC drama. Terrific story with suspense that never lets up. Tight direction, superb acting. Never mentioned is the phrase New World Order, but this is what the story is about. International corruption and duplicity, timely as ever.

For those times when you want a thoughtful, sad story. Edge of Darkness is one of the two best things I have ever seen on television, the other being the original Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy -- it is in very high company indeed. Edge has a dreamlike, even spiritual aura to it, which is not only induced by Eric Clapton's guitar and SPOILER the daughter's reappearance as a pale, smiling ghost, but a rare combination of passion and skill by the creators. The late Bob Peck and Joe Don Baker give performances of a lifetime.

Excellent series from 1985. The usual high standard of the BBC, in this case for a different take on police investigation. Cast, production, music, all excellent.

Recipe for a super cop vs bad guys movie.

Combine a large portion of the acting ability and the prescense of Mel Gibson with the medium to large amount of superb support and talent of Ray Winstone. Blend in some pathos, some startling violence and a well written and superbly played script and finely stirred support cast, direction and camera work and allow the pros to work until it's result is exactly the movie," Edge of Darkness," as it is and should be.
