The most precious book. I have been wanting to expose my "mixed race" children to books written by people from all over the world to help them understand that no matter where people come from, they are people all the same and probably do and feel some of the exact same things we do even if we are half a world away.

This sweet story is about a little girl jealous of a chicken; when tragedy strikes the chicken she has a change of heart and ends up finding and loving her own Silly Chicken. We've read this book every day since we checked it out. Highly recommend. We are adding it to our permanent collection.
