#1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood proves why she is the undisputed queen of romance yet again with this sensual story of passion and adventure on the high seas.

Beautiful and audacious, Sara Winchester is no longer the child she was when she married Nathan, Marquess of St. James. Determined to win his love completely, Sara, blissfully unaware of Nathan's notorious bootlegging past, has been gleefully waiting for the day when her husband would come to reclaim her heart. The man who stands before her is arrogant, mysterious, and undeniably sexy...an infamous pirate whose touch arouses her wildest, deepest desires.

Aboard his ship, The Seahawk , Nathan becomes infuriated yet enchanted by Sara's sweetly defiant ways, but upon their return to England, their love will be painfully tested by an ugly family scandal that threatens to tear them apart. With their future at stake, they discover the true destiny of their love.

Sara is without a doubt the most unlikeable character I have ever read about. She is naive, needy, condescending, cries for no reason and is just plain stupid. The book places the most emphasis on how attractive she is as though that can make up for everything else. This would have been a good book is Sara was a stronger character.

England, 1816. A child bride, Lady Sara Winchester had grown into a winsome beauty, joyfully anticipating the day when her husband, Lord Nathanial Clayton, Marquess of St. James, would return to claim her at last. Charmingly innocent, she dismissed the ancient feud that divided her and Nathan's families... and she was totally unaware of his past exploits as the notorious pirate, Pagan. The man who now stood before her was perplexing, arrogant and powerfully handsome... a warrior-gentleman whose gentle touch aroused her to the wildest, deepest pleasures of love...

Nathan had never bared his soul to any woman, but he was soon beguiled and exasperated by Sara's sweet, defiant ways. Aboard his ship, The Seahawk, she was brave, imperious and determined to win his heart completely... yet upon their return to England, her love would be sorely tested as a most desperate conspiracy sundered them from one another. Now as their future trembled in the balance, they would discover the true destiny of their passion... for all time!
