The projects are generally beyond me, because I lack both the power tools and the intense dedication required. However, the article on deconstructing a cuckoo clock was useful

Nice, non intimidating primer by a real steampunk enthusiast and scholar. I wasn't personally interested in any of the gadgets and gizmos he provides excellent step by step instructions on how to make, but I did like his piece on how to deconstruct a cuckoo clock. Good layout, readable text.
