It might be appropriate at times to question the plausibility of a film. I'd give reasonable latitude as long as what is presented is within the realm of possible variations, this being a case in point. This seems pretty much my preferred escape destination: reality. The sticking point for many is the good samaritan, truth in labelling, named Samantha. Many simply regard such a person as a mere fantasy or literary construct. May it not be a self fulfilling prophecy for them. Endless food for thought here; who knows, possibly even for action. On top of my recent viewing of 'l'enfant', I found myself thinking this. There was ever an outcry against the sexual exploitation of the young, for the most part female. I wonder if what happens to young boys under wanna-bee Fagins might not be an equal phenomena. Their potential reckless violence needs a little moulding to make a life for their exploiters.
