I surprised myself with how fast I read this book. I got it done in under two days, speeding through the whole thing. I enjoyed this book a lot. While I might not have been entirely sucked into this story as I have with other books recently, I liked the plot and the characters. All the details that if written by someone else might have come across as annoying or unimportant had instead a strangely authentic feel to them. I felt like I was reading a story with a realistic main character who's richness did not make her unbearably snotty but achieved inn having her come across as a bit entitled, a wild best friend who contains qualities and personality traits of girls I could remember from high school, and a shut-in who rebelled against his closed-offness from the world, both with his actions and mannerisms, breaking past the stuffy and nerdiness of his home and forcing the people around him to see exactly who he is. This book had a nice resolution and left me feeling satisfied with choosing a nice fast read.
