Killing Patton

the Strange Death of World War II's Most Audacious General
Feb 03, 2016
I was blown away by this book! I have to be honest, I do not like Bill O’Reilly at all and despise his show and I doubt he actually wrote this. I am sure that Martin Dugard was the real author and Bill just stamped his name for publicity and earnings. Regardless, I really loved reading this book. This book is not just about General Patton. Every chapter is filled with impeccable historical details about a particular leader (such as Hitler, Patton, Roosevelt, or Stalin) and the situation/crisis that they were facing. I felt like I was right there with them experiencing their grief, confusion, anger, fear, and anxiety. I appreciate that this book shows the humanity of all the people involved and their struggles and illnesses. The details were vivid, the emotions were heartfelt, and the experience exhilarating. Any history buff will really enjoy this book. I look forward to reading other books in this spectacular series and highly recommend it. Enjoy this amazing journey during one of the most tumultuous times in world history.
