Seymour has not written a book that is not worth reading but this book is so well written. It has a large cast of characters and each is well developed. The whole plot centres around a reluctant defector from Iran, a corporal and driver for an important Major. He wants his wife brought out of Iran as well. The result is an intrigue of extraction of the wife while interrogation continues of the husband. In addition there are the high level security service players of several countries. The story is almost impossible to put down as it moves along so quickly on various fronts. There are subtexts of honour, love and allegiance that become central to the plot. Just an excellent read.
