I begin to crave a simple narrative style that starts at the beginning and moves to the end. I crave s story told from one point of view. This is another in my summer read pile, and yet another one from the pile that was a disappointment. I was happy to go along with the story until one third into the book when suddenly we begin at a mid point and see it all from another character's point of view, but introducing a whole different story line, only to be followed by a third character entering the book and dragging us off centre yet again. Why?
