Another great book by Brockmann! I admit that I had problems with Meg (the primary heroine) throughout, but I suspect that's because I can't identify with the intensity if her love for her daughter and the lengths to which she would go. I adore John Nilsson and Eve (Meg's grandmother). I've really enjoyed the historical tie-ins in the Troubleshooters series. Sam & Alyssa's story was also fun to watch as it developed. It was a bit dizzying at times to jump from thread to thread (there are a lot of storylines and perspectives to track) but the pacing was well-managed. Brisk action, unexpected but believable twists, and the amazing but flawed characters one expects from Brockmann make for an absorbing read.
