This is the first book I've read in this series and not usually the genre of book I read. It took me a bit to adjust to the Irish dialogue (which sets the perfect tone ) and the almost minute to minute progress. Book almost totally follows Detective Antoinette and her thought process as she and D. Moran solve this case. I felt myself adopting her slight paranoia in the middle of my home renovations. French won me over and I throughly enjoyed this book. It moves right along w/ great investigative detail but it thankfully I was still able to sleep. Antoinette solved her case/project much more quickly than me! I give French high marks for her writing such fine details, facts, figures names, timing etc and seemingly gets it all straight.
