Esme is an uneducated young woman living in the slums outside a large city in Việt Nam. Khai is Michael's autistic cousin who was briefly mentioned in Hoang's earlier book, *The Kiss Quotient.* Since Khai doesn't know how to date California girls, his mother decides to import a proper wife for him from the old country. Hilarious romantic comedy ensues as Esme and Khai struggle to figure out their oddly forced relationship which eventually climaxes in graphic sex and provides an unforgettable classic romcom movie style ending. Using her own mother as a reference, Hoang carefully documents the experience of an uneducated young Vietnamese woman immigrating to the United States. If you enjoyed *Crazy Rich Asians*, you might want to give this awesome feel-good book a try!
