Jeanne Carbonetti does beautiful, vibrant water colors and I enjoyed the many illustrations of her art throughout the book. Bizarre was finding a squashed fly between pages 14/15 (??) which I removed and found a hard time putting someone who would enjoy her art together with someone who would pick up a beautiful library book and kill and leave a fly in it for someone else to find. But I digress.... I believe the artists is very well intentioned but there is too much technique in the form of rules and "how to" and little exploratory, gentle lessons to follow.
