I enjoyed reading The Maze Runner. This book was interesting from start to finish. The story line was easy to follow, with characters you could relate to . There was a lot of suspense, from one chapter to the next, making you want to read the story to the end. I could relate to the characters, and the feelings they had, wondering where they came from, how they got there, and how to survive to stay alive. They worked together as a team realizing their only escape was to solve The Maze. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a thriller and suspense story. This book will keep you interested until the end. @Jman of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board This book is quite good in my opinion. I would recommend this to anyone who likes survival novels, with post apocalyptic settings and nice action scenes. The book does many things right such as make a compelling story, have threatening dangers and sets up nicely for a sequel. I do have some criticisms such as the main protagonist isn't very likeable, it's gets off to a very slow start, and the final death at the end felt very unnecessary. Overall while this book does have flaws I do feel like it was worth the read and I'm very interested to see what the author does with the rest of the story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @StarStriker of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board The maze Runner Is the first book in a trilogy written by author James Dashner. The book mainly focuses on Thomas, a sixteen year old hero that wakes up in the Maze but doesn't remember anything about himself except his name. His memory has been wiped, as have all the memories of the kids called Gladers who are in the maze with him. Thomas must solve the maze to save himself and the other gladers. This book is action packed and mysterious. It was exciting and I really liked the various characters. James Dashner wrote in such a way that you feel like you are actually here. The mystery makes you want to keep reading and you won't be able to put the book down! I would recommend the book to people ages 10+ and rate it 4.8/5 @GymGirl of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library From the beginning of this book I was hooked! I found myself getting very attached to some of the characters, and I enjoyed the development of the plot. I think that the story line was very creative and different from other books that I have read, while still fitting into the genre of a post-apocalyptic YA novel. I really enjoyed how the author pieced together clues from the beginning and middle of the book to find a resolution. It was very clever! Furthermore, the descriptive language was excellent, and brought me into the setting of the story. I would highly recommend this book to other readers! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
