The Sun is Also a Star is an absolutely extraordinary book! The writing and characters pulled me in and I was amazed how, over the span of twenty-four hours, every single event in the book connected to each other in one way or another. In this modern world, Natasha and Daniel meet in the most unexpected ways. Natasha is devastated that she and her family are going to be deported to Jamaica in less than twenty-four hours and Daniel is hesitant about the future his parents had laid out for him. After a series of fateful events, Natasha and Daniel begin to understand each other and the meaning of love. I really enjoyed reading about Natasha's cynical views of the world and Daniel's belief in fate because their differing perspectives had me thinking about the definition of love and how love can change people in even the smallest of ways. I would recommend this book for anyone who loves romance and philosophy!
